Mid morning stroll at Bell Cara

It was about 10:30am maybe 11am when this photo was taken. I just love the effect of the mist floating off the water and the fisherman made the scene perfect for me.

Back to blogging? perhaps...

Its been a very long while since I posted anything on any of my blogs. But today I thought I would see if my interest would pick up again. Now, the reason for my departure from the blogging world has simply been because I've been too sick with pregnancy symptoms to do much of anything. Even now, I am on medication to help supress the constant vomitting I experienced so far. Praise God that I am well and most importantly, baby is also doing well. With the meds, I started to gain my strength and weight back and then it was the start of the school year again. And so, blogging had to take a back seat. Now that I am well into my 23 week, I have a little more time to play on the computer. It won't be too long before my focus changes to baby stuff!During this time of absence, I did manage to get a new camera and have been so delighted with it. Here are a couple of images taken so far.

Summer Break

Hi Everyone,

I know I haven't been posting nor have I said much about what I'll be doing since HS:MS is taking a break. Well, I'm going to do the same since I have a few other projects going on right now along with some holiday time. Will be back in August when Her Space My Space returns with their words of the day. Hope all you photography fans have a wonderful summer!

Sit & Soap

SOAP: A product we use to help us clean. Find soap in your space today.

As Eleanor said, this rose carved soap below is too beautiful to use. So it has been sitting in my curio cabinet since my sister-in-law gave it to me a long long time ago. Its colour is still the same as the day I got it.

SIT: A position in which we relax. Who is sitting in your space today?

These two teddies have a story to them. Audrina and Hunny Bear are apart of our marital history. After falling in love with Reno Man, I gave him Audrina. She wasn't dressed in that wedding dress then but in a hot pink tank top and bottom. I laugh when thinking about this. And so she sat on Reno Man's bed alone for a while. It was the day Reno Man proposed that Hunny Bear came along. Both these bears are from Build a Bear and so Hunny Bear actually proposed to me with a gorgeous ring in his back pocket (dressed as he is now). It was very cute. Of course then my hunny, got down on one knee and proposed. Now, at that time, there were not any Build a Bear stores in Vancouver ,BC yet. So Reno Man drove to Seattle,WA to build Hunny Bear. I wish I could have been there to see Reno Man do that. Just makes me smile to think of what he did. So now, Hunny Bear and Audrina sit in our bedroom, on our fireplace mantle reminding us of our love.

My darling doll from when I was 2 years old. My mum says that it reminds her of me. I don't think I look quite as cute any more. But she does.

Tea

Tea
1. the dried and prepared leaves of a shrub, Camellia sinensis, from which a somewhat bitter, aromatic beverage is prepared by infusion in hot water.
2. the shrub itself, extensively cultivated in China, Japan, India, etc., and having fragrant white flowers.
3. the beverage so prepared, served hot or iced.
4. any kind of leaves, flowers, etc., so used, or any plant yielding them.
5. any of various infusions prepared from the leaves, flowers, etc., of other plants, and used as beverages or medicines.
6.British. any meal, whether a light snack or one consisting of several courses, eaten in the late afternoon or in the evening; any meal other than dinner, eaten after the middle of the afternoon.
7. an afternoon reception at which tea is served.

Having been influenced by the English way of life while living in England, PG tips would be my preferred choice of teas. But here in Canada, it isn't easily available. At least I haven't found it nor am I convinced that it wold be the same as that found in England. We do have Tetley however and that's about as close as I can get.

For today's word from Her space, My space, I thought I'd show tea from my cultural background. Green tea in traditional Chinese cups.

Press

Wow. The word of the day is press. This word has so many definations. Too many to put up so I'm posting a link to dictionary.com for those who are interested in reading the many defination.

Press: To compress, extract, squeeze, urge and manufacture. How do you see Press in your space?

This pasta maker came to mind when I saw the word press on Her Space, My Space today. So I couldn't resist making some egg noodles for later today. Below is the result of "press".
